Qualification  : B.E/B.tech with 3 to 4 years of experience or M.E/M.Tech with 1 or 2 years of experience in Mechanical engineering. Candidates with master’s in design/Thermal background would be added advantage.

Responsibilities

1.  Review customer specifications outlined in RFQs, develop technical proposals, and engage in technical discussions with internal stakeholders and customers.

2.  Assess conceptual designs and drawings using 2D & 3D CAD tools and collaborate with design software for various tasks.

3.  Generate bill of materials, ensuring clarity for the costing team to estimate component costs accurately.

4.  Directly communicate with customers to gather additional information on applications and requirements, explain technical proposals, review DVPs (Design Verification Plans) and FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analyses).

5.  Demonstrate professional and creative skills consistently by developing conceptual designs, interpreting structural and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis reports, and refining designs to meet customer specifications.

6.  Act as a team player, promoting good communication with internal stake holders and the customers, noting customer design changes and requirements, communicating changes to internal stakeholders, and actively participating in decision-making and problem-solving.

7.  Maintain documentation, providing stakeholders with information regarding changes in specifications and timelines, while adhering to established processes and procedures.

8.  Collaborate regularly with Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Quality, and Purchasing departments.

9.  Occasionally travel for short periods to visit clients, suppliers, and inter-plant locations, as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

•             Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD tools (Proe / Catia)

•             Fundamental understanding of thermodynamics and fluid flow

•             Experience in evaluating RFQ’s, developing technical proposals both from a technical perspective and commercial perspective.

•             Ability to learn, understand and competently communicate with customers is required.

•             Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential.

•             Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a very fast paced and possess strong decision-making skills.
