Job Requirement
  1. Experience in accounting and execution of investments activities (Shares, MF, Bonds and other market investments) of the Group in Tally and preparation of related MIS reports
  2. Handling Trust accounting and their Statutory Audit, Tax Audit & IT Returns
  3. Transaction Processing:
    1. Execute orders of buying and selling of shares, mutual funds and other investments ensuring timely and accurate processing as per the management direction
    2. Closely work with wealth advisors, PMS managers, other advisors and other team members to facilitate seamless execution of investments transactions
    3. Monitor and reconcile trade confirmations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
  4. Documentation and Record-Keeping:
    1. Maintain and organize investment-related documents, including trade tickets, contracts, and communications with Wealth Advisors & PMS managers.
    2. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by keeping records up-to-date and accurate
  5. Preparation of Investment Register and Capital Gain/ Loss statement as per FIFO & WAM
  6. Compliance and Risk Management: Adhere to company policies to maintain a high level of compliance in all activities
  7. Preparing and filing e-returns for TDS, P.F., GST and P.Tax
  8. Preparation of Bank Reconciliation
  9. Handling Trust accounting and their Statutory Audit, Tax Audit & IT Return
  10. Handling personal A/c and Taxation of all Directors including HUF & AOP

Other Skill required

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Familiar with Stock Market /Investments is essential,
  • Computer savvy-particularly expert in Excel

It was established as a partnership in 1808 as Jewellers and Silversmiths.  The company established a reputation of excellence as silversmiths, Jewellers, watch and clock makers.  The company represented the renowned watch companies 'Movado', 'Universal' and 'Rolex'.  The company was appointed 'State Jewellers' & 'Silver Smith' by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and has over the years been commissioned for silver creations and Jewellery by the royalty and by the leading business families both at home and abroad.

The partnership was converted to a limited company under the Indian Companies Act 1913 in February 1920 having its registered office at Kolkata.

The business of the company continued as silversmiths, jewelers, watch and clockmakers until 1963.  Enactment of Gold Control Act and Restriction on Import of Luxury items and that too with very high duties resulted in the Company being forced to close down its operations.

The company, as a consequence, began to develop its Estate Division. The Company owned a very valuable property in Connaught Place, New Delhi known as Hamilton House, which has been currently leased to following prestigious companies on long lease:

  2. Tata Starbucks Pvt. Ltd.
  3. Fabindia Overseas Pvt. Ltd.
  4. NIIT Ltd. and
  5. Fitness First India Pvt. Ltd.


The Company got its registered office shifted to Mumbai, Maharashtra in early 2019. The company is a NBFC duly registered with RBI, Mumbai as a non-systemically important non-deposit taking company.

The Company’s source of revenue is from rental income, which constitutes approx. 50% of total income and from finance and investment activities, which constitutes 44% of total income for the year ended 31st March,2019. The Company owns a portfolio of equity and debt instruments which are conservatively managed for a balance of return, safety and liquidity.

The Company through one of its subsidiary is developing a new IT Park in Chennai along with the K Raheja Group. This is scheduled to be ready by November,2019.

The Company, through its other subsidiaries, has invested in a modern Telecom Infrastructure project which is seeing good traction from blue chip customers. As we go from 3G to 4G and then 5G our asset will become even more valuable


MANAGEMENT / SHAREHOLDING

The management of the Company vests with Mr. S.K.Jalan. Mr. Jalan is an eminent businessman with long standing association in various Trade bodies and charitable organizations. The shares in the Company are entirely controlled by Mr. Jalan and his family.

The Company is the main holding company of the Group and has following subsidiaries/associates:

  1. RPIL Signalling Systems Ltd. having registered office at Chennai. (100% holding)
  2. Bombay Gas Company Limited, having registered office at Mumbai. (75% holding)
  3. Hamilton Research & Technology Pvt. Ltd. having registered office at Kolkata (51% holding)
  4. S&S Power Switchgear Ltd. having registered office at Chennai (48% holding).
