Qualification: B.E. / M.E. (CAE, Mechanical Engg. (Master’s in design))  

Role:CAE Evaluation of Heat Exchangers

Responsibility:

1. Perform “Geometry Clean-Up” on CAD models received based on the FEA analyses.
2. Decide the type & nature of elements to be used in the analyses.
3. Convert problem statement into FEA Loads and Boundary conditions.
4. Build FEA model within the prescribed mesh count using coarse and fine meshes.
5. Debug error messages and successfully solve the model.
6. Recommend design changes based on the FEA results to achieve optimal design stresses and product life.Assisting with the design and release of production intended designs which meet customer design life.
7. Working with test labs to achieve a correlation between CAE/CAE results and physical tests.
8. Upgrade FEA methodologies periodically after reviewing actual test setups / real world problem cases.

Technical / Functional requirement:

• Strong fundamentals of Fluid mechanics, Heat & Mass transfer, Turbulence & Laminar modelling.
• Knowledge of CAE/FEA analysis & related experience in automotive domain.
• Basic knowledge of Engine block & Engine Cooling components.
• Ability to prepare CAE models in Ansys software.
• Ability to generate Heat Exchange performance enhancement proposals.
• Exposure to Vibration testing and developing correlations will be an added advantage
