Position               : Operations Clerk

Location              : Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Role Requirements

Acting as an operations clerk, a mobile role based primarily in the company’s yard (import/export facilities)

A typical role the candidate would play is as below :

• Placing empty containers from shipping line yards to CNF’s yard

• Writing letters to Tanzania Port Authority (TPA) for information regarding containers with cargo coming into to Dar Es Salaam for destuffing

• Supervision of the destuffing process of containers from point of origin and restuffing into shipping line containers for the final destination

• Coordination with different stakeholders including Government entities and independent inspection agencies for the entire import/export process (nonoffice

based)

• Container and cargo verification, including weighing, visual inspections and photo/video logging in real time

• Surveillance of the shipments during the transit process as per the company’s SOP

• Efficient troubleshooting with authorities including the TPA on delays or other issues that may arise from time to time

IT is the licensed freight forwarding company engaged in the clearing and forwarding of inbound and outbound cargo from,The company also operates its own fleet of 25 trucks from its office in Tanzania, exporting transit edible and non-edible commodities including minerals and metals.
